2024 GP Patient Survey
Attached are the results of the 2024 Patient Survey that took place in January 2024.
The GP patient survey asks patients to feedback on their experience with their GP. Nationally, over 2.5 million people were surveyed, including 318 Parishes Bridge Medical Practice patients (of whom 96 returned the survey).
We have listened to your feedback and have been continuing to make changes to improve our patient experience. From 9th September we will be introducing a new full triage appointment system which will ensure a fairer way for appointments to be allocated, cut down the wait time on the phones and to reduce wait times.
We were particularly pleased that:
- 93% of respondents knew what the next step would be within two days of contacting their GP practice
- 82% of respondents found that the healthcare professional was good at treating the patient with care and concern
- 86% of respondents found that their needs were met
Since the beginning of the year we have been working hard to improve the services offered to our patients. We have implemented changes such as introducing a call back system which has reduced our average wait times and the que on the phones. As well as this, since taking routine appointments via the website to be triaged by the GP’s, the time waiting for appointments have been cut down from 6 weeks to an average of 2-3 weeks.
We will continue to engage with patient feedback and actively liaise with PPG to further to work on improving our patient experience.
